澳洲幸运10开奖 is launching three new offerings in environmental studies for Fall 2025. Students will now be able to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science or a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies with a concentration in either Environmental Humanities or Environment, Society, and Policy.
鈥淭he environmental science and environmental studies programs focus on care for our common home, integral ecology, and environmental justice across science, social science, and humanities,鈥� said Elizabeth E. Dahl, Ph.D., associate professor of chemistry and director of environmental studies. 鈥湴闹扌以�10开奖鈥檚 is the only program in the state that focuses on integral ecology, a priority of the University鈥檚 strategic plan.鈥�
All three of the new offerings will have a common introductory curriculum, and all students will complete a course focused on writing or communicating about the environment, as well as environmental ethics and statistics. Each student will also complete an internship or research experience prior to their final semester.
Students will begin and end the programs in interdisciplinary cohorts, including an integral ecology capstone where they will work in teams to complete community-based projects.
B.S. in Environmental Science
Environmental Science students will be required to complete two introductory sequences in biology, chemistry, physics, or calculus, with the opportunity to choose their plan of study based on their future career goals in the sciences. All students in this program must also complete a 200-level course focused on the ecology of the Mid-Atlantic and a 300-level course focused on environmental data collection and analysis.
B.A. in Environmental Studies, Environmental Humanities concentration
The environmental humanities concentration allows students who have an interest in humanities fields to expand their environmental knowledge in fields like history, theology, and the arts.
B.A. in Environmental Studies, Environment, Society, and Policy concentration
The environment, society, and policy concentration allows students who are interested in working at the overlap of human and environmental systems to develop into integral ecologists who will help determine future policies and actions that are important to environmental justice.
